The Prom

Why see The Prom?

You Will Go To The Prom!

From Broadway to Netflix to the Civic Center Music Hall. Join the Lyric Theatre for this delightful comedy musical about the highlight of the high school year! Written by Matthew Skylar, Chad Beguelin, and Bob Martin, The Prom is an unmissable tale of acceptance, love, and joy that begins when one student is excluded from the celebrations...

What is The Prom about?

In a small town in Indiana, prom has been canceled! And it's not down to bad behavior or financial issues - it's because the high school has forbidden, a female student, Emma from bringing her girlfriend! When a group of quirky Broadway actors hear her story, filled with outrage they swiftly travel to the community in an attempt to correct the injustice.

However, their attempts at social activism don't go unnoticed and instead make the situation far worse than they could have ever imagined. The community erupts into chaos as cultures clash. Emma's future and the actor's careers all hang in the balance.

Will prom go ahead? Will justice be made? There's only one way to find out...

The Prom Oklahoma City Music Hall

Despite the one of the main actors having to return to stage in a wheel chair, he delivered an outstanding performance. The Prom touches on the diversity in the world with a little sadness, and a lot of histerical comedy throughout. Excellent Go See It. ... Read more
