The Little Orchestra

Crossing musical genres from all over the world, Pink Martini fuses the styles of Argentine tango, Brazilian samba and Italian folk as well as drawing inspiration from old Hollywood musicals, pop music and Latin to create a truly unique style. Formed in 1994, the music group have performed at the Cannes Film Festival, Royal Albert Hall in London and the Kennedy Center and released 11 studio albums. 

Pink Martini are the brainchild of Thomas Lauderdale, with vocalist China Forbes recruited as the group's lead singer not long after. The goal of Pink Martini was appeal to a broad audience with music that appeals to everyone, from liberals to conservatives, all over the world. Describing themselves as a 'little orchestra' their genre-defying sound has clearly achieved their aim, with the group still going strong three decades later.
